Work day description: We will join the Central Indiana Land Trust to remove invasive exotic plant species garlic mustard from the woodlands.
Participants must wear clothes appropriate for outdoor field work. Long pants and closed toe shoes are required (no Crocs, Keens, or similar type). Water, granola bars, gloves, and equipment will be provided.
Meeting location and directions: From Keystone and 86th Street, go east to the second light for the Fashion Mall. This is River Crossing Road. (If you went over a big bridge, you missed the turn!) Turn left, but then quickly turn right at the light within the Fashion Mall lot onto River Road. Follow River Road less than about a ½ mile to a driveway on the right with a black mailbox (do not go over 465). Turn right and follow this driveway to a grassy open area for parking; if it is full, turn right down another driveway parking along the drive.
