Summer 2025
Climate Past & Present:
Current Impacts & Historical Proxies
Topic: Climate Science
Date: August 23 (8:30 am - 3:30 pm)
Location: IU Indianapolis campus (Indianapolis, IN)
This one-day, science-based professional development opportunity is designed for middle and high school teachers. We will explore climate science, focusing on the impacts of current change and how we know what we know about changes in the past. The workshop will include classroom activities that explain climate science, climate proxies, and analysis of climate data, as well as exploration of relationships between climate, water resources, and human systems.
Use the form below to register for the workshop. Campus parking will be provided at no cost to participants. Further details and updates will be provided after registration.
NOTE: Space is limited. Registrations will be taken in the order received. Priority in registration will be given to Indiana teachers. Waitlisting will be used to keep later registrants informed of opportunities to participate (in the event that an earlier registrant cancels prior to the workshop). Participants will receive a stipend.
