The Center for Earth and Environmental Science is planning a Teacher Professional Development Workshop for summer 2025.
Topic: climate science
Dates: TBD
Location: IU Indianapolis campus (Indianapolis, IN)
CEES is developing a science-based professional development opportunity for middle and high school teachers in which we will explore climate science with attendees. The workshop will include: 1) classroom activities that explain climate science, climate proxies, and analysis of climate data, 2) exploration of relationships between climate, water resources, and human systems, and 3) discussion guides for ethics of care and addressing misinformation.
Once workshop dates have been established, use the form below to register for the workshop. Campus parking will be provided at no cost to participants. Further details and updates will be provided after registration.
NOTE: Space is limited. Registrations will be taken in the order received. Priority in registration will be given to Indiana teachers. Waitlisting will be used to keep later registrants informed of opportunities to participate (in the event that an earlier registrant cancels prior to the workshop). We are working to acquire funding that will provide participants with a stipend.
